Virginia Beach's Dustin Furlow makes his way to Hunter At Sunrise this Sunday morning.  Originally from San Diego, Dustin has been playing in the area for some time. The Peninsula's Roy Moats Brings His Unique Song Stylings to Hunter At Sunrise

It's taken a while, but we will finally have a visit from Roy Moats of Newport News.  Roy is fresh off of winning a spot performing at the Aiken & Friends Fest and he will certainly sing some songs featuring his special brand of wit and cleverness.  Hope you can join us this Sunday morning for Roy Moats on Hunter At Sunrise.  

Hunter At Sunrise returns to Victorian Station for Our Acoustic Session This Sunday

It was a showdown of local singer/songwriters on Sept. 5th at Victorian Tea Station with the winner of the competition becoming a performer at the Aiken & Friends Festival in October.  And Hunter At Sunrise was there to do an acoustic session with the winner, Scott Slay.  Join me this Sunday morning for a very special acoustic session on the road at Victorian Station in Hampton.

Local acoustic guitarist, Matt Thomas, finds his way back to Hunter At Sunrise this Sunday.  Matt not only plays the 6 string guitar with authority but he also has become an expert at the harp guitar.  We'll be catching up on what he's been doing and how he's participating in the upcoming Hampton Bay Days.  Hope you'll join us.

Austin Recording Artist, Jimmy LaFave, is Our Guest This Sunday Morning

Austin's Jimmy LaFave pays a visit to Hunter At Sunrise this Sunday. In town for a house concert, we got to sit down to talk to Jimmy about his latest album and his love for Woody Guthrie. Here is what Wikipedia says about Jimmy LaFave:

LaFave crafted a musical style called Red Dirt music and became a disciple of the state's most famous folk musician: Woody Guthrie. LaFave is an Advisory Board member and regular performer at the annual Woody Guthrie Folk Festival. In 1996 he received the Kerrville Folk Festival songwriter of the year award and appeared on the TV show Austin City Limits. He has recorded 15 albums and his 2007 release, Cimarron Manifesto, reached the No. 1 mark on the Americana Music Association album chart. In 2012, LaFave released the studio album Depending On The Distance.
